"Winter Beach Bash" will be held next Sunday for adults with special needs

Decorah's Get-2-Gether Committee and Decorah Parks and Recreation are hosting a Winter Beach Bash for adults with specials needs from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Sunday, January 24th, at the Decorah Middle School.

Adults with special needs are invited to join Luther College track and field athletes for an afternoon of, games, crafts, bingo, karaoke, a photo booth, healthy snacks, and Culver's Custard, at the middle school.

Participants are asked to use the middle school entrance off of River Street and Jefferson Street.

Sponsors and community donations allow G2G volunteers to offer these events at no cost to participants.

Participants should register for this event by Thursday to allow volunteers to plan accordingly.  Registration can be completed online at www.get2g.com or by contacting Decorah's Parks and Recreation office at (563) 382-4158 or parkrec@decorahia.org.

Flower leis will be provided, and participants are encouraged to wear sunglasses and colorful clothing to celebrate the Winter Beach Bash theme.
