Sheriff's Department makes two arrests for drunk driving

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says it has made two arrests on charges of Operating While Intoxicated.

45-year-old Chad Benzing of Fort Atkinson was arrested around 10:30 p.m. last Wednesday, January 6th, on Highway 52.

20-year-old Israel Dirkx of Carroll, Iowa was arrested around 12:30 a.m. this Wednesday at the Highway 24 and Highway 52 intersection.

Both men were transported into the Winneshiek County Jail and booked on charges.
