Accident results in $15,000 in damages and a ticket

An accident on Highway 9 around 10:30 Thursday night caused an estimated $15,000 in damages.

Winneshiek County Sheriff's Deputies say 25-year-old Kevin C. Riggs of Cresco was westbound on Highway 9, lost control on the slushy roadway and spun into the path of an eastbound vehicle driven by 62-year-old Richard A. Bugenhagen of Cresco.

Neither driver was injured.  Riggs was charged with Failure to Maintain Control.
