Presidential candidate Ted Cruz, a Republican U.S. Senator from Texas, promoted his conservative values in a campaign stop Friday night in Decorah.

Cruz told a crowd of around 200 people at Mabe's that on the very first day he becomes president, he will erase all the executive orders signed by President Barakc Obama during the last seven years.  "My pen has an eraser," he told the crowd.

Cruz also outlined his plans to investigate Planned Parenthood, move the US Embassy to Jerusalem, end Common Core, prohibit Sanctuary Cities, rebuild the military, stop the persecution of religious liberty and to "utterly defeat radical Islamic terrorism."

The leader in polls heading up to February 1st's Iowa Caucuses called Obama the architect of "a failed economic policy" and "a naive foreign policy."  He said it's his goal to give power back to "We the People" because the United States is "the last best hope for mankind."

Cruz stopped in Decorah as part of a six-day campaign tour through Iowa.  He made stops in Cresco and Decorah on Friday, as well is in Rossivlle and New Hampton on Saturday.
