Construction begins on Riverwalk Homes

Construction has begun at the new Riverwalk Homes development in Decorah.
 
Serenity Development Company says construction has begun on the first model home.  The local builder is Steve Munkel and Munkel Construction. A total of sixteen residences are planned for the development. The housing will be designed to suit families, couples and singles.
 
The projected completion date for the first home is in April.  An early spring date is planned to begin the second home in the development.  Four additional homes are anticipated for the completion during the summer, as is the final street work.
 
The homes, which will have 1,350 square feet, are designed for new homebuyers or those who are downsizing from larger family homes.
