Winneshiek Co. cattlemen seeking candidates for Beef Queen, Little Miss Cowgirl

The Winneshiek County Cattlemen have begun accepting applications from prospective 2016 Winneshiek County Beef Queens and 2016 Miss Cowgirls. 

Eligible Beef Queen contestants should be a high school junior or senior.  Little Miss Cowgirl contestants should be between the ages of 9 to 11.  Applications must be made by Friday, February 5th.

Scholarship applications are also now available for any graduating high school senior or current college freshman planning to major in an Ag related field.  The application deadline is February 5th for current college freshmen and February 15th for graduating high school seniors.

The 2016 Winneshiek County Beef Banquet will be held on Saturday, February 27th at Nob Hill.  Trent Loos, a sixth generation farmer from central Nebraska whose radio program, "Loos Tales," is heard by over 3 million people, will be the featured speaker.
