Decorah man arrested for failing to return to the jail

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says it has arrested 29-year-old Evan Blue of Decorah for actions he allegedly took while on a court-ordered release from jail.

Deputies say Blue was supposed to be at a specific location while on release, but instead he went to a home in Decorah that he was prohibited from visiting.  A disturbance took place at the home, with Decorah Police responding.  Blue was then taken back to the Winneshiek County Jail by county deputies and charged with "Escape or Absence from Custody," a serious misdemeanor.
