A Calmar man is out on bail after being arrested for allegedly bringing a chainsaw into a Calmar bar to threaten the people in the tavern.

Calmar Police were called to the Horseshoe Bar on December 17th because of a report that 31-year-old James Block had started a chainsaw, running it on the outside door and threatening the three people inside.

Calmar Police arrested Block, then filed a criminal complaint in Winneshiek County District Court the next day, charging Block with First Degree Harassment.

Winneshiek County Sheriff's Deputies served a warrant on Block December 21st.  He posted a cash bond.  Block was scheduled to appear in court on Monday in Decorah.
