Tickets are on sale for Decorah High School's 29th Annual Madrigal Dinner, which will take place on at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, January 17th in the Steyer Opera House at the Hotel Winneshiek.
Tickets are $25 each and are being sold at the Hotel Winneshiek and the Decorah High School main office. Only 220 tickets are available and will be sold until noon on Monday, January 11th. There will be no tickets sold at the door. This event has sold out the last three years.
If guests would like to sit together, tickets must be purchased as a group. Most tables will have eight people seated at it, and seating will be assigned with consideration given to the order in which tickets are purchased.
Each ticket includes a meal of wassail punch; tossed salad (balsamic vinaigrette, red onion, cucumbers, and croutons); dinner rolls; roasted pork loin with sultana raisins, roasted tomatoes, saffron rice, and seasonal vegetables; pumpkin cake with salted caramel sauce and whipped cream; and coffee. Advanced orders of vegetarian entrees and gluten-free options are available when purchasing tickets.
Music of the Renaissance will be performed by vocalists, recorders, strings, and brass; and there will ber a performance of the comedic play "The Prodigal Son."
