Luther College presents 2015 Weston Noble Award to Roger Henderson

Luther College has awarded the 2015 Weston Noble Choral Award to named Roger Henderson of Grinnell.

Henderson holds a BA from Luther College and a Masters in vocal performance and pedagogy from the University of Iowa. He has taught vocal music for 32 years.  He is in his 25th year with the Grinnell Community Schools.  Henderson has served as President of the Iowa Choral Directors Association and has served on the Iowa High School Music Association Advisory Board.  

Henderson began his teaching career in Earlham, Iowa, where he stayed for seven years. In 1990 he became the high school vocal music teacher in Grinnell, Iowa, where he still teaches today.
 
In 2011, Henderson was selected to attend the Yale Symposium of Music where he was awarded a Yale Distinguished Music Educator Award.
