Posted: Tue, Dec 1, 2015 12:02 PM

Decorah weather observer Richard Bernatz has issued his report on November temperatures and precipitation in Decorah.

Bernatz says temperatures averaged 41.6 degrees in Decorah in November.  That's 6.5 degrees higher than normal.  November highs in Decorah averaged 51.5 degrees--7.2 degrees higher than normal.  Compared with November of 2015, only five previous Novembers in the past 122 years were warmer, with 116 being cooler.

Thanks to three days with more than half an inch of precipitation, Decorah had a total of 3.14 inches of precipitation in November--1.28 inches more than average.  Only 16 Novembers of the past 123 years were wetter.  November broke a string of four months with drier than average precipitations.  For the year there's still a precipitation deficit of 0.98 inches below average.
