Decorah's Josey Jewell named All Big Ten

Decorah High School graduate Josey Jewell--a sophomore on the University of Iowa football team--has been named to both the All Big Ten Coaches Second Team and All Big Ten Media Second Team on defense.

Jewell has led the Hawkeyes in tackles this season, with 50 unassisted tackles and 52 assisted tackles.  He has also had two interceptions, one fumble recovery and 2.5 tackles for a loss.

This season's All-Big Ten honor follows last year's honor of being named Iowa's Most Valuable Player in 2015 TaxSlayer Bowl.  Jewell also was named to the Academic All-Big Ten team last year.

Jewell and the Hawkeyes will play MIchigan State this Saturday in the Big Ten Championship game.
