A food drive conducted by the Decorah FFA and the Community Club brought in 614 items and over $00 in contributions.
Both groups asked students and staff to contribute food, paper goods, and monetary donations. The students emphasized the value of contributing money, knowing that it would give the food banks the ability to purchase items in bulk. Community Club Vice-President Gabriel Varney noted, "The seniors didn't donate as many food items this year, but we collected a lot of money, and that was our goal."
"It's wonderful the community club and FFA can partner together to organize this project," said FFA advisor Joni Bruvold. Community Club advisor Liz Fox added, "The students work well together, and I can't say enough about how dependable the students are to carry this project through to such great success year after year."
