Decorah Middle School's Randy Iverson has been presented with the Don Taft Junior High School Coaching Award for his 21 years of working with the Decorah MIddle School football program.
The award from the Iowa Football Coaches Association mentioned Iverson's "great work you have done with young football players." Decorah High School Head Football Coach Bill Post nominated Iverson for the award.
The selection committee was chaired by Warren Woepking, who was an assistant coach under former Decorah High School Coach Dick Wuest.
Iverson says he hopes he was able to mentor and help the junior high football players during his 21 years with the program.
