Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum is looking for homemade gingerbread creations to be displayed at a "Gingerbread Fair" at the museum's Bruening Visitor Center from December 3rd through December 31st.
Volunteers should bring their decorated gingerbread creations to the Bruening Visitor Center at 502 W. Water St. between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. next Monday through Wednesday, November 30th to December 2nd. Each submission will receive a hand-decorated and edible gingerbread cookie.
"Making a gingerbread house can be a great Thanksgiving weekend activity for families and the start of a wonderful family tradition," said Vesterheim Education Specialist Darlene Fossum-Martin.
The gingerbread creations should be of edible materials, with bases not to exceed the size of a large pizza box. Gingerbread creations can include buildings of all sorts, people, and decorative shapes.
