Fire destroys shed

The Decorah Fire Department was called out to the home of Nicholas & Allysen Lovstuen at 2372 Winnmakee Road around 12:45 Thursday afternoon.

On arrival firefights found a 16 foot by 24 foot outbuilding was burning and had collapsed on the ground.  Firefighters extinguished the fire.  

No injuries were reported.  The fire was called in by a neighbor prior to the owner arriving home.  The building and its contents, which was cut fire wood, were destroyed by the fire.  No dollar amount for damage has been determined.

The cause of the fire was ruled accidental and was believed to have started from embers from the outdoor wood stove.
