Sunflower Child Care Center could reopen Wednesday at Stone Ridge Church

Sunflower Child Development Center, which has been closed since last Wednesday because a newly formed crack was found in the roof of the School Age Room, could reopen Wednesday at Stone Ridge Community Church.

Sunflower officials have been in contact with the church in hopes of using the building as a temporary home.  Sunflower officials are currently working with the State Fire Marshal's office to approve the use of Stone Ridge Church for childcare.  Stone Ridge and Sunflower are addressing a few items to secure the approval from the Fire Marshal.
 
Meanwhile, a structural engineer has been contacted and will inspect the existing Sunflower facility.
