The City of Decorah is getting more help for its computers and networks.
The Decorah City Council has approved an agreement with Winneshiek County to split the costs of an additional IT support staff position. The city has been sharing the services of county IT employee Chopper Albert in the past. The new agreement will give the city the equivalent of a full-time IT person, since it now will be sharing two employees with the county.
City officials say the additional help was needed with the growing demands on IT services, the growth of the Metronet and with growing demand for help desk staffing.
