Decorah Fire Department elects officers

The Decorah Volunteer Fire Department has elected officers for the upcoming year.

Mike Ashbacher will continue to serve as Fire Chief.  Loren Wiltgen is stepping down as First Assistant Fire Chief.  He will be replaced by Jeff Clement.  Lee Bjerke will serve as Second Assistant Fire Chief.

Additionally, Eric Sovern will serve as President of the Decorah Volunteer Association and Steve Vanden Brink will continue as Public Information Officer.

The new appointments became official Monday night with the approval of the Decorah City Council.
