Ask Mr. Answer Person: "Is there still going to be a murder trial in Decorah?"

Jeff e-mails: "Is there still going to be a murder trial held in Decorah?  I haven't heard much about it lately."

Mr. Answer Person says, "We're going to assume that you're talking about the trial of Alexander Fazzino--after all, how many murder trials are there to keep track of in Decorah?

To refresh your memory, 40-year-old Alexander Fazzino, formerly of Boone, faces one count of first-degree murder.  The body of his wife, Emily Fazzino, was found on the bathroom floor of the couple's home in Boone in January 2012.  Emily Fazzino was the daughter of former Fareway Stores CEO and chairman of the board Richard Beckwith.  Alexander Fazzino was charged with murder in April of 2014.

The trial was moved out of Boone to Decorah, but it has been delayed numerous times.  The latest delay now places the trial starting in Decorah on February 2nd of next year--but stay tuned--there's no guarantee the trial will begin then.
