The Decorah Public Library has copies of the novel "The Magician's Lie" available for checkout ahead of a December 9th discussion about the book.
The novel tells the tale of the country's most notorious female illusionist, The Amazing Arden, who is renowned for her trick of sawing a man in half on stage. When Arden's husband is found dead beneath the stage after a performance in Waterloo, she stands accused of her husband's murder and has only one night to convince a small-town policeman of her innocence.
The book will be discussed by Decorah Public Library staff members December 9th at the Cellar.
