Peace & Justice Center offering a class on Restorative Conversations

The Northeast Iowa Peace & Justice Center will host a Restorative Conversations class led by Rising Sun Life Coach Mary Jorgensen on four Mondays starting this Monday.  The class will help people learn strategies for preventing and resolving conflicts.

The classes will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. November 16th and 23rd, then will skip November 30th, resuming December 7th and 14th at the Peace and Justice Center's office at 119 Winnebago Street in Decorah.

Says Jorgensen, "This four-week class aims to support the process of engaging in difficult conversations in order to restore harmony and build effective relationships. This will not entail personal counseling for attendees; it is not a support group. Participants can expect to learn skills and practice applying them."
