North Winneshiek middle school students have had a chance to tackle an outdoor learning experience at the Eagle Bluff Environmental Center. They spent three days and two nights absorbing information about the environment, which included water testing, wildlife ecology, raptor education, and cave formation education. The students built trust through teamwork while on the high ropes course and solving a GPS murder mystery.
North Winneshiek received the Eagle Eye Award, which was given for being "green." This included turning off lights, picking up garbage, etc. They also received the Golden Plate Award for ZERO food waste at all meals.
