Decorah man arrested in Kansas, brought back to Decorah

The Winneshiek county Sheriff's Department says Joel Hood Junior of Decorah has been located in Crawford County, Kansas, arrested and transported back to the Winneshiek County Jail.

Hood faced seven criminal charges--including assault on a police officer with a weapon--in connection with an incident in 2010.  He was convicted on several charges in 2011, but the assault on a police officer charge was reduced to a charge of assault with intent to inflict serious injury and he was placed on five years probation.
