Construction begins on new NICC Beef Science Technology Building

Construction is underway on a new Beef Science Technology Facility at the NICC Calmar campus.

The new facility will be located just north of Iowa's Dairy Center off Highway 150.  It replaces an aging building.  The new 13,750 square foot structure is a mono slope beef shelter that will be used by Beef Science Technology, Large Animal Veterinary Technician, Agriculture Business and Dairy Science students.  

The building's development is a collaborative effort of the college with the Beef Science Technology Advisory Board.  NICC officials say the school is committed to the vitality of the beef industry, which continues to expand in Iowa.
