Iowa Parks & Recreation Association to hold its 2016 convention in Decorah

Members of the largest parks and recreation professional organization in the state of Iowa will be coming to Decorah next year.

The Iowa Parks and Recreation Association has chosen Decorah as the site of its annual conference, held in the fall each year.  Association members will come to Decorah in September of 2016.

Decorah Park-Rec Director Andy Nimrod says it's quite an honor for Decorah to land the convention, since the association met in the Des Moines area this year and usually meets in larger cities.
