Students at Decorah High School are working on plans for activities during next weekend's Homecoming 2015 celebration.
Theme days have been chosen and students have been busy finding "outfits" for each day. The Viking Olympics will kick off the week on Sunday afternoon with several student and faculty teams competing.
The student body choice for king and queen will be revealed at the coronation assembly at 12:30 p.m. Friday, October 2nd in the Decorah High School Auditorium.
Queen candidates from the Senior class are: Linnea Carlson, daughter of Andrea and Scott Carlson; Melanie Gossman, daughter of Diane and Tony Gossman; Kelsey Kruse, daughter of Mary and Geoff Kruse; Taylor Schuring, daughter of Tracy and Tim Schuring; and Katelyn Yee, daughter of Sherri Schilling and Phillip Yee.
King candidates from the Senior class are: Garret Baumler, son of Janice and Duane Baumler; Andrew Bonelli, son of Jill and Scott Bolson and David Bonelli; Garret Hemesath, son of Linda and Keith Hemesath; Bryce Hosting, son of Mary and Alan Hosting; and Cole Steffen, son of Lori and David Steffen.
Junior class attendants are Anna Spencer, daughter of Randi Berg and Matt Spencer and Justin Bullerman, son of Lisa and Bill Bullerman. Sophomore class attendants are Brynne Valkosky, daughter of Karie and Greg Valkosky and Daniel Willie, son of Peggy and Brett Willie. Freshman class attendants are Aubrey Buresh, daughter of Rachael and Brent Buresh and Simon Hadley, son of Nori and Ross Hadley.
The Homecoming Queen and King, their court and parents will be presented at half-time of the varsity game, along with a presentation by the Decorah High School marching band.
