ArtHaus seeking submissions for an exhibition of artwork that celebrates our area

Posted: Tue, Sep 22, 2015 4:32 PM

ArtHaus is announcing plans for a community art exhibition celebrating the beauty of Northeast Iowa.

ArtHaus is inviting everyone--whether professional artist or amateur--to participate by submitting works inspired by the Driftless Region.  All media will be considered including literary works on paper.  All works must be able to be mounted or tacked to a wall; no free-standing sculptural works can be considered.

Up to three works may be submitted per person; submission is free. Works may be for sale; works listed for sale will be made available for purchase through ArtHaus, with a portion of any sale going to support the ArtHaus' need-based scholarship fund.

Works should be delivered to ArtHaus the week of October 5th-9th between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.  A public reception will be held on Friday, October 9th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Works will be on display through November 20th; works must remain on display for the entirety of the exhibition.

Submission details and entry forms are available at www.arthausdecorah.org.  For additional information contact Jenni or Eric Petersen-Brant at (563) 382-5440.
