Winneshiek County has received three proposals for the North Winn Road

How should North Winn Road be redone?  That question has not been answered yet, but County Engineer Lee Bjerke says he has just received three proposals about what should be done.

The proposals come on the heels of soil borings being taken on the roadbed.  Bjerke told county supervisors Monday that borings were done in five locations on the road in an attempt to get information about soil conditions.

Another big issue is how much of the road will be redone.  At this point, county officials are hoping to redo the entire eight-mile length of the road--but that depends up costs, of course.
