Former Decorah School Superinendent Francis Peterson later this year will bring to an end 23 years of service as a member of the Keystone Area Education Agency's Board of Directors.
Peterson was asked to serve on the board in 1992--and has been on it ever since, including serving recently as President of the board.
However, he announced plans earlier this year that this term would be his last on the board.
The Decorah School Board will meet at 6:00 p.m. Monday and in addition to thanking Peterson for his 23 years of service is expected to back the candidacy of another former Decorah School District representative to the Keystone Board. David Johnson--a former Assistant High School Principal--has indicated his interest in serving on the Keystone Board. School board members will vote Monday night on whether to support Johnson's candidacy.
