Sheriff's Department releases results of Special Traffic Enforcement Program

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says it made 51 traffic contacts during the Special Traffic Enforcement Program that ran from August 25th through September 7th.

Of those 51 contacts, one resulted in a drunk driving arrest, one arrest warrant was served and one canine search was conducted.  Sheriff's deputies also responded to 10 motor vehicle accidents and rendered assistance to seven motorists.
