Decorah Police release statistics from recent Special Traffic Enforcement Program

Decorah Police officers made approximately 130 traffic stops during the recent Special Traffic Enforcement Program that ran from August 25th through September 7th and included the Labor Day weekend.

Police made two arrests for drunk driving; four arrests for narcotics violations; and served three arrest warrants.

Nine speeding tickets were issued and 13 citations were issued for other traffic offenses.  There were two seatbelt citations issued and two citations for driving without a valid license.
