Luther College alumnus Tuan Phan's art exhibit, "Photos of Vietnam," is now open to the public through October 9th in Preus Library on the Luther campus.

"Photos of Vietnam" gives an intimate look at modern life in Vietnam.  It is also a good lead-in to a Luther January term study abroad class which will combine economics and political science and will travel to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta to experience different aspects of Vietnamese culture.

Photographs by Phan have been featured in almost 30 international exhibitions and received multiple awards.  Phan received 15 international awards in 2003 alone, including top 10 rankings in both color and black and white photography.

Phan graduated from Luther in 1977 with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He also holds a master's degree in accounting from the University of Iowa. He currently lives in California.
