"Cooperation" is the motto for Winneshiek County Development Inc.

Winneshiek County Development Incorporated Executive Director Stephanie Fromm on Monday told county supervisors that she has been working hard to persuade people throughout Winneshiek County that economic development requires a "team."

Fromm has been working with Calmar Development and the Ossian Crown Club, for instance, on projects in those communities.  She wants to reassure people that WCDI isn't focused solely on Decorah.

County supervisor John Logsdon says it's also the responsibility of people living in towns other than Decorah to cooperate with WCDI to help make the entire county prosper.

Fromm says she is working on developing an inventory of available properties throughout the county for people looking to start a business in the area.
