Decorah Park-Rec program for adults with special needs continues to grow

Decorah Parks & Recreation officials say they're pleased with the continued growth of the "G2G" program.

Park-Rec and the Luther College football team hosted a 'Get 2 Gether' (G2G) summer celebration for adults with special needs recently.  The celebration was a free event with a number of activities including bean bag toss, ladder golf, sand volleyball, a Wiffle ball game, bingo, a basketball shoot, a football toss, music by the Buck Hollow Band, and a photo booth. 

Luther College football players and coaches volunteered, leading games, dancing, and socializing with participants throughout the evening.

The event was made possible through donations, sponsorships and the work of volunteers.
