The board of directors of the Raptor Resource Project has elected John Howe as the new director of the organization best known for bringing the Decorah bald eagle webcam to the world.

Howe worked with former RRP Director Bob Anderson on several projects, including the falcon cam installation and HD upgrades at Great Spirit Bluff, the Decorah cams, the bald eagle cam project with the Seneca Nation and preparation for the Philippine Eagle jungle camera.

Bob Anderson had wanted Howe to succeed him as director because he was impressed by Howe's leadership and technical skills, his passion for using media to fascinate and motivate people and his dedication to the mission of Raptor Resource Project.

The Raptor Resource Project has also added four new board members.  Veterinarian Laura Johnson and film-maker Neil Rettig have been active in the Philippine Eagle Project forward, Dave Kester is deeply involved in peregrine falcon banding and monitoring program.  David Lynch has been involved in a wide variety of projects, including eagle tracking, the kestrel nest box program, and social media.

The four new members will join the five current board members, who are President Randy Christman and board members John Dingley, Brett Mandernack, Ken Mueller and Jim Robison.
