The latest test results from North Winneshiek School show students are achieving the highest in English/language arts, followed by science, and then mathematics.
Sixth through eighth graders at the school met the Adequate Yearly Progress goals set by the federal government, but third through fifth graders did not.
92.5 percent of the sixth through eighth graders were proficient in mathematics and 85 percent of the sixth through eighth graders were proficient in reading.
86.67 percent of the third through fifth graders were proficient in mathematics and 82.22 percent of the third through fifth graders were proficient in reading--neither of which met the Adequate Yearly Progress goal set by the federal government.
The North Winneshiek School District is on a "watch list" and but is not yet considered a "school in need of assistance."
