Bob Anderson recalled by those who knew him best

In the end, Saturday's Celebration of Life for Raptor Resource Project Director Bob Anderson centered more on who Anderson was--and less on what he did.

To be sure, Anderson's work with bald eagles was mentioned, but the gathering at Siewers Springs Park next to the Trout Hatchery featured remembrances from family members who spoke of Anderson's passion and his love of life.

Predictions of 3,000 people attending proved to be too generous, but the people who came to the ceremony spoke passionately about how Anderson had affected their lives.

"And He will raise you up on eagles' wings
Bear you on the breath of dawn
Make you to shine like the sun
And hold you in the palm of His hand."
