WMC renews its agreement with Mayo Health Systems through 2020

Winneshiek Medical Center will remain affiliated with Mayo Clinic Health System Franciscan Healthcare in La Crosse for at least another five years.

The hospital 's board last month gave tentative approval to a renewal of their contract with Mayo.  Now hospital officials say the agreement has been signed by Mayo Clinic Health System Franciscan Healthcare in La Crosse and all details have been worked out.

Winneshiek Medical Center entered into a management services agreement and a professional service agreement with Mayo in 2005.  It renewed those agreements in 2010, then agreed to transfer the agreements to Mayo Clinic's La Crosse health system in 2012.

The agreements cover Winneshiek Medical Center's administrators and doctors, all of whom are Mayo Clinic employees.
