Donor promises to buy 20 foot by 30 foot American flag for Decorah Fire Department

Last week decorahnews.com posted comments about the 20 feet wide by 30 foot long American flag that the Clear Lake Fire Department loaned to the Decorah Fire Department during Nordic Fest.

decorahnews.com readers Corey and Lisa asked how much money such a flag would cost ($1,000) to buy one for the Decorah Fire Department to have permanently.

Over the weekend a representative of the Decorah Fire Department contacted decorahnews.com to announce a donor had stepped forward to promise to pay the entire cost of the large American flag in honor of one of their late relatives.

We will post a photo and will give further details when the flag is purchased and arrives in Decorah.
