Quilts of Valor program presents quilts to 22 area veterans

Twenty-two area veterans have been awarded quilts by the Quilts of Valor program.

The presentations were conducted by Decorah Quilts of Valor #541 on Friday and Saturday of Nordic Fest weekend at the Decorah Middle School Gymnasium.
 
The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing quilt.

The Quilts of Valor Foundation is a non-profit organization established and operated in accordance with Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Saturday's recipients included: (Front row, left to right): Dick Schuman, John Christopherson, Truman Allen Tollefsrud, Arthur Kingsbury, Robert Lillie, Dervin Ludeking, John "Jack" Boehm and Richard Allen; (Back row, left to right): Ronald Ludeking, Wayne Jordahl, Jim Gipp, Nils Kjome, Glenn Larson and Andy Borske.
