There will be a number of significant developments in the next few months for the proposed $11-14 million hotel complex on the former Bluffs Inn property.
Monday evening's meeting was the beginning of getting feedback from city officials on the proposal.
Another form of feedback will come in a week or two when Rebound receives the results of a study of the market demand for additional hotel rooms in Decorah. Rebound CEO Brett Reese says he believes there is a demand for the 78 additional hotel rooms, but studies sometimes come back with surprising conclusions.
If the market study shows the demand for additional rooms, Rebound will prepare an application to receive a Fairfield Inn and Suites franchise from Marriott. The application would be due the end of September, with an answer from Marriott in November.
