Decorah man charged with drunk driving

A Decorah man faces drunk driving charges following a two-car accident on Ice Cave Road on Saturday afternoon.

Decorah Police say 61-year-old Jon Berg stopped suddenly in the traffic lane, causing his car to be hit from behind by a car driven by 60-year-old Gary Hammel of Waukon, causing $4,500 in damages.  Hammel called police, but Berg allegedly left the scene of the accident.  Berg was later located at his home and arrested for Operating While Intoxicated.
