Mr. Answer Person says: "Thanks, Barb.  Yes, the people who are clients of the Food Pantry now can also receive coupons they can use at the Winneshiek Farmers Market.  Single people get $10/month in coupons, while families get $20/month.

The program is being funded by grants from Winneshiek County Community Foundation, The Depot Outlet, the Empty Bowls Project, Decorah Methodist Church's trust fund and many in-kind donations.

The coupons can be used to purchase fruits, vegetables, eggs, homey, meet and vegetable plants from Farmers Market vendors.

Volunteers at the Food Pantry and Free Clinic say the program can gotten an enthusiastic reception from their clients.
