Sheriff's Department responds to two-vehicle crash on Highway 52

Winneshiek County Deputies were called to Highway 52 north of Decorah around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday.

22-year-old Devin Funk of Harmony, Minnesota had been driving southbound on Highway 52 when he pulled into a farm driveway at 2877 Highway 52 and turned around to head back northbound.,  He pulled out of the driveway into the path of a car driven by 18-year-old Phoenix Peterson of Mabel, Minnesota.

Peterson, Funk and a passenger in Funk's truck, 18-year-old Hannah Ehret of Harmony, Minnesota, were all checked at the scene by Winneshiek Medical Center Ambulance crew for non-life-threatening injuries.  Peterson eventually was taken to Winneshiek Medical Center by private vehicle for further evaluation.

Funk was ticketed for Failure to Provide Proof of Insurance; No Valid Driver's License; and Failure to Yield.
