City of Decorah plans work on both Park Street and Ice Cave Road

Both Park Street and Ice Cave Road in Decorah serve traffic heading to parks facilities.  But they also handle heavy traffic--Park Street the traffic heading south to homes in the Bruening Addition and elsewhere and Ice Cave Road the traffic heading from College Drive to Quarry Hill Road.

Now City of Decorah officials hope to make repairs to both roads.  The city's Street Committee has set aside $65,000 for work on Ice Cave Road within the city limits and $58,000 for work on Park Street in Phelps Park.

The two projects are part of the city's 2015 Street Plan.  If the spending wins city council approval--and the overall spending is within the budget--work on both streets could begin yet during 2015.
