Traffic accident damages Pleasant Street overpass

Crews worked Friday to fix damage to the Pleasant Street overpass on Highway 9 following a Thursday accident.

Decorah Police say 53-year-old Brad Wicks of Decorah was driving a tractor/trailer east on Highway 9 around 2:00 p.m. Thursday when equipment in the trailer struck the bottom of the bridge, damaging the bridge and the equipment on the trailer.

Wicks was not injured.
