2015 Winneshiek County Fair begins Tuesday

Tuesday is the opening day of the 2015 Winneshiek County Fair.

Opening Ceremonies will begin at 3:30 p.m. in front of the grandstand.  The ceremonies will include the coronation of the 2015 Winneshiek County Fair Queen.  Five young women are vying for the position--Marissa Foels of Postville, Katey Forde of Decorah, Ashley Kurash of Fort Atkinson, Nicole Schmitt of Fort Atkinson and Ashley Schwartzhoff of Decorah.

Tuesday evening's grandstand entertainment are the Upper Iowa Speedway stock car races.  There will be hot laps at 6:00 p.m. and racing at 6:30 p.m.  Grandtsand buttons are good for all five shows and cost $20 leading up to the Fair and $25 at the Fair.
