Decorah Park-Rec Board may make a decision Tuesday about new water slide design

The former water slide has been torn down

Members of the Decorah Parks and Recreation Board have been presented with a number of possible concepts for a new water slide at the Decorah Swimming Pool.  Now it's their job to select one of those ideas.

Board members will meet at noon Tuesday at City Hall.  The Park-Rec Departent currently has almost $250,000 set aside or pledged towards the slide project, with additional funding possible.

Consulting firm Burbach Aquatics will meet with the Park-Rec Board Tuesday to help board members with the options.

Park-Rec officials are hoping a new slide could be in place for the 2016 swimming season.
