Luther Director of Campus Programming Tanya Gertz has been selected as one of 25 participants in the first class of a program at the University of Southern California.
The Association of Performing Arts Presenters' Leadership Fellows Program will begin with a five-day summer seminar at the USC, followed over the next 20 months by mentoring programs, annual gatherings in New York City and continuous online discussions.
For the past 10 years Gertz has served as director of campus programming at Luther, where she manages the Center Stage Series of professional performing arts events as well as the School Matinee Series, which offers live arts experiences for grades pre K-12. Gertz manages also Luther's Distinguished Lecture series and serves as an event leader for major campus events such as convocations, Luther's presidential inauguration in 2014, the 2011 Norway royal visit, annual Christmas at Luther productions and major conferences. She oversees programming and facility use for Luther for more than 700 events per year.
